the application process was extremely deceiving by the agent. I was told it would take 30 minutes and it was almost 60 minutes with the initial phone interview with the agent, and then with the insurance company that had to re-ask every question for another full hour - I believe it was uncalled for.

I was completely honest with my information and could have been told by the agent to not go any further, but instead went to underwriting to get denied. I feel this was completely unacceptable.

The agents should know enough to be able to tell you if you need to go through the full process of applying. It was invasive and extremely detailed and then be denied.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Preferred solution: completely delete my application and file on record.

Ushealth Advisors Cons: Scam operation, Process was deceiving.

Sometimes it is easy to forget something we think is "minor" or "over" in our health history. You can be completely honest and your medical records indicate the problem. Most denials are the result of medical records.

Would you prefer to buy something as important as health insurance without someone taking the time to help you understand what you are buying? I would be uncomfortable with any agent that just wanted to take my money and not explain my coverage (think employer based group insurance).

I never understood exactly how my coverage worked when I used my employer's plan because there was no one to review it with and I never received any written documentation to review. I would prefer spending an entire day buying a plan that is carefully explained than spend 5 minutes filling out a form.

The insurance company makes sure you did not lie in any of your answers, they review everything you said to the agent and re ask. If you waiver from your answers you will be denied, it is advisable to be honest and up front when answering your health questions. It was frustrating for you I am sure, but also frustrating for the two employees that had to go through it with you just for it to be a denial.
